Tanu Weds Manu is a hit in Punjab and above average across India. It’s likely to cross lifetime business of Rs 40 crore after taxes. Which is quite good for all involved – producers, distributors, and actors Kangna Ranaut and Madhavan.
Though the story has shades of Jab We Met, it does hold on it’s own and makes for a good timepass evening.
The story does suffer from poorly sketched characters, it still makes do with some honest performances by Madhavan and even Kangna. If you have nothing else to watch, this is a good bet.
