>The ‘Ghost Ship’

>One week ago, a chilling story came out of Australia when a 40ft Catamaran was drifting with nobody on board, off the Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland. The boat was found with its motor and computer still running, and food prepared and ready to eat sitting untouched on a table.

Local and international media have jumped on the story, calling it a ‘Ghost Ship’ and have compared it to the Mary Celeste, which was found nearly 130 years ago, mysteriously floating in the Atlantic Ocean with no signs of the 10 crew members who were on board!  Now, the story has taken another mysterious turn.

Despite a search for the missing sailors being called off, two relatives of the man skippering the boat are claiming that they have made spiritual contact with him and say that he is still alive, but is “somewhere dark” and is “fighting for his life”. They also claim that their devine communications have told them that the crew of three has been kidnapped.

Despite their convictions that the crew is still alive and is in desperate need of help, it looks like the local authorities aren’t buying into their story and won’t be restarting a search and rescue attempt. A spokesman from the Townsville police has simply said that “there is not much we could do about it”.

With the investigations and searched called off, and no forensic evidence suggesting a crime has occurred, it appears that this mystery may never be solved.
