Tees Maar Khan disappoints hugely

Tees Maar Khan, the third directorial film from Farah Khan disappoints. Scripted and written by her husband Shirish Kunder, this film is a wash-out after the impressive title sequence.

The film is a no-brainer, but that is fine so long as it’s entertaining. But even that is in short supply. Some of the lines are clever, but not something that will make you laugh out loud. But yes, there is one exception: Akshaye Khanna. His imitation of an actor who lives the character he’s portraying – a freedom fighter – does make you laugh out loud. But that is not the case with the rest of the film.

Boo Farah. Boo Shirish. Boo Akshay Kumar. Boo Katrina Kaif. Boo every member of the TMK team. They have done a bad job of sinking Rs 70 crore on a story that doesn’t deserve a penny. Though the film has taken a monster opening on Friday, it remains to be seen if it sustains during the week. Since it’s priced so high, it needs the weekdays to do well to become a hit atleast.
