Bollywood’s worst films and actors

Bollywood’s worst films and actors 1

2010 saw many flops and few successes. But then, that’s the mean average of most Bollywood films. So no one’s really complaining. They have all come to accept it and move on. But there are certain films and performances that stand out for their abysmally low entertainment value.

So here go the ‘Kela’ awards, our Indian version of the Raspberry awards in the US.

And the award goes to…

Worst actress: Mallika Sherawat for Hisss.

Worst actor: Vivek Oberoi for Prince.

Worst comeback: Eesha Koppikar for Right Yaaa Wrong and Hello Darling.

Unsexy award: Aruna Shields for Prince.

Worst comedian: Shreyas Talpade in Golmaal 3. Will someone tell director Rohit Shetty to turf out this stuttering parrot from the series?

Worst director: Farah Khan for Tees Maar Khan. Will she get her act right the next time around or be under her incompetent husband Shirish Kunder’s shadow like she did with TMK?

Worst experimental director: Goes to two of them: Rakesh Roshan for his incomprehensible Spanish-Hindi film Kites and Sanjey Leela Bhansali for the achingly boring Guzaarish.

Worst Onscreen chemistry: The Sonam-Imran Khan pairing in I Hate Luv Storys. Whoever thought they could make a pair didn’t know where to shop for the best onscreen pair.

Fading faces of Bollywood: Susmita Sen (Buddha Mil Gaya), Genelia D’Souza (Chance Pe Dance), Udita Goswami (Rokk), Mrinalini Sharma (Hide & Seek), Diya Mirza (Hum Tum Aur Ghost), Tara Sharma (Prem Ka Game), Minissha Lamba (Well Done Abba), Ayesha Takia (Paathshala), Tanushree Dutta (Apartment), Barbara Mori (Kites) and Sonal Sehgal (Aashayein).

Failed debut award: Shared jointly by Zarine Khan for Veer and Jacqueline Fernandes for Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.

Failed director: Nagesh Kukunoor for Aashayein.
