Blogging from Windows Live Writer
After blogging directly from the Wordpress account on the web and only recently from my smartphone, I am now blogging from my desktop blogging application, Windows Live Writer.
The best part of this is that you can write offline and post it by setting a publishing date. What’s more, you can add pictures, maps, videos, and tags in one seamlessly integrated tool.
Will let you more about this as I continue to blog from this platform. If you have something to share, feel free to leave your comments.
WordMobi, the best Wordpress app for E71
All this while, I thought Cellspin was my solo Symbian plug-in for E71 to blog.
But I was wrong.
Here comes a freeware called WordMobi that allows you to blog on Wordpress, including self-hosted sites like mine, using the Wordpress platform.
Not only is the upload quick, you can also add tags, photos, videos and personalise. You can make certain words in bold and italics for instance.
Just Google it and you shall get the download link. If you find a better app for Symbian, feel free to share.
Editing test
Many writers, PR people and Corporate Communication heads and advertising agencies ask me for ways to judge a person’s writing ability. Now I am showing you the way as well. It’s simple. Just put the job aspirants to this test and see how they score on spelling, grammar, thought process, style, diction and all that jazz.
Happy talent hunting!

EDIT THIS PASSAGE
Friday the 23rd of January was a great day for motorsports fans with both the first round of OAA Rally Championship and Round 8 of the Muscat Kart Club Go-Kart championship. Spectators at the track where treated to some exciting action on the track and rally cars flying past between races.
The juniors yet again saw some very close and skilful racing with Arif Al Kiyumi first, Dennis Schneider second, and Grant Cheesewright third. This is a category that is going from strength to strength with more racers at every meeting. The championship standings remain the same with Arif in first, Grant in second, and Abdulraheem Al Kiyumi in third.
The open class saw the biggest field of the meeting with ten drivers in each race. This led to some tight racing and some questionable passes but overall the standard was very good. Tommy Durning finished first overall. Mommin Al Rawahi drove a very clean and skilled race to finish second while third went to Hussein Al Amri.
The National and International classes saw some fast and sometimes bad tempered racing, something that is starting to become more prevalent in the two categories where people really ought to know better. Chris Edwards finished miles ahead of the pack, yet again, for another clean sweep. Dave Senior finished second and Shaun Divecha came third. Gary Cooke was forced to pull out due to a broken bumper and so Senior moves to first in the championship, with Cooke second and Edwards third.
Book review: Ginger Soda Lemon Pop
Read this book to awaken the child within
Hello everyone. I am a five-year-old girl going on six. I have not seen my father since I was born. I think God is love. And she probably looks just like my mummy. In my second year of kindergarten, I have learnt my own little big lessons. I would like to share some of them with you:
1. Those who go away never really leave us. There is an eternal fragrance that lingers on.
2. The thrill of life is always the strongest when it seems like it’s all going to end.
3. We own nothing. We lose nothing. Only life continues.
Now, I am an adult. But when I look back, I remember praying to Mrs God that I would only be a Big Girl and never be grown up. When I related my story to Christina Daniels, she could relate to the child within all of us. And the result is Ginger Soda Lemon Pop. She’s a first-time author who graduated from the London School of Economics and landed up at Wipro to manage their Intranet communications. I am glad my life appealed to her. Do read and let me know what you learnt from the book.
PS: Aamir’s new film says, ‘Every child is special.’ This book couldn’t have been better timed.
